Hi, Iā€™m Cierra Walker

I am a queer, nuerodivergent person in long term recovery. My pronouns they/them. I know that a personalized recovery program can be difficult to explore when it comes to the intersection of race and queerness.

In my recovery journey I found autonomy through embracing responsibility in order to care for my mental, emotional and spiritual needs. For the last 6+ years, I have worked in Case Management and in Peer Support in which I have supported clients through developing treatment plans, determining correct levels of care and providing coaching through their recovery journeys. From my experience in finding what was right for my own journey and my professional experience, I understand that there are multiple ways to pursue sobriety, and to seek wellness. There is a huge diversity in needs and options available to us that should all be considered. You deserve finding the pieces that fit into your life and who you are, rather than forcing the pieces to fit.

Additionally, I have worked with organizations to help them develop LGBTQIA+ affirming services for their communities because we all have a role in ensuring that our communities are a safe space for folx to grow and heal. I have provided trainings for providers who want to ensure that they are providing the most equitable experience to their clients. I can also provide trainings to organizations on substance use and its effect on our global community.
